In only two weeks in theaters, War, Inc, has been enough of a success $22,857 per screen average in two theaters in New York and Los Angeles that First Look Studios is expanding to 20 theaters on June 13 and delaying the DVD release by more than three months to October 14th to give the movie time to build an audience.

The men behind HILARY DUFF's new movie WAR INC. felt sure they'd have to rewrite some scenes when the squeaky-clean actress landed the lead - because they'd be too crude for her. But the game actress/pop star shocked them by going through with the risque scenarios - which included performing mock fellatio on a fuel pump and dropping a live scorpion down her pants.

BOCA RATON — It isn't just concerts that attract celebrities to Boca Raton. Some days, like today the motive is hungry children. Actress and singer Hilary Duff, 20, visited Boca Raton Elementary School students who were celebrating the official launch of the "Boca Blessings in a Backpack" program, which helps meet the nutritional needs of children and families over weekends. "I'm so happy to be part of it," said Duff. "I'm honored to have met you."

FOR a young woman just under 21, there are a couple ways around that whole legal drinking age thing. One is to "spend a lot of time in Canada," says Hilary Duff, 20, with a laugh. The other is simply to be a big enough music/movie/fashion star that bouncers forget to card you. "It's not like I don't have a drink or something when I go out," says Duff, during a recent chat at the Hotel Gansevoort. "Living in LA you're able to do that, as bad as that sounds."

War Inc. Info & Updates!
Hilary Duff dropped a scorpion down her trousers in her new movie. The actress had the "scary" encounter with the arachnid while shooting 'War, Inc' after deciding not to use a fake one.

She is quoted as saying: "We did it about four times. They were like, 'We have a fake one here but it looks terrible.' And I was like, 'I've done this for the movie, and this and this and this' - I can't back out now. I've got to go for it. All the guys on set were telling me that they would never do this.

"I had a pair of pants on that was a little bigger than my normal size so I could get some space between my body and the pants and try and drop it in.

"A couple of times it went all the way down to the floor, you know, and then sometimes it got stuck and I had to shake it out which was really scary." Director Josh Seftel admitted he was "terrified" by the scorpion and praised the 20-year-old 'Lizzie Maguire' star for her bravery.

He said: "It was so brave and bold and smart of her to do that. I loved that she embraced it."

Hilary Duff On Controversial Miley Cyrus Pics: 'Who Am I To Judge?'!
'It's not what I would choose to do, but if she did, then that's fine. That's her choice,' Duff says.

First, Jonas Brothers frontman Joe Jonas came to Miley Cyrus' defense, after snapshots showing her in her bra and underwear surfaced online. Now it seems that Hilary Duff is in the "Hannah Montana" star's corner too.

Tween star Duff told People.com that she's not about to pass judgment on the 15-year-old pop sensation — and Disney's main moneymaker — just days after Cyrus issued a statement apologizing both for the controversial photos and for ones she'd taken for an upcoming Vanity Fair spread. Cyrus, who expressed embarrassment over the pictures, appears to be topless in the images, which were shot by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz.

In the statement, Cyrus said, "The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots. I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen, and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone. Most of all, I have let myself down. I will learn from my mistakes and trust my support team. My family and my faith will guide me through my life's journey."

"Everyone goes through things and takes their own path," Duff told People during a junket promoting her upcoming film, "War Inc." "Who am I to judge decisions that she made?"
Duff, however, said she would never elect to follow Cyrus' lead. "People are pushing you to do something, and if you want to do it, that's your choice, you know?" she said. "It's not what I would choose to do, but if she did, then that's fine. That's her choice."

Duff — who is 20 and has seemingly managed to evade the same pitfalls that have tarnished the reputations of contemporaries like Vanessa Hudgens, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears — said she has long relied on her family and friends to guide her professional decisions.

"I've had a lot of help from people," she explained. "It's a joint effort with my family and everyone helping me balance my life."
